Pickleball Club

Sunland Village recently converted a tennis court to four pickleball courts. In addition, there are four more temporary courts available on an adjacent multi-use court, shared with tennis players. These beautiful facilities, near the Towers on the North side of Sunland Village, accommodate our residents for the fastest growing sport in the country.

Pickleball is easy to learn and experienced players are always anxious to assist beginners. All residents are welcome to come out and give it a try.  All you need is a pair of tennis shoes, a desire to learn the game, an attitude to have fun and an eagerness to meet some wonderful people! A wealth of information about the local Club can be obtained from their website:  www.svpickleball.club

For further information on playing or joining this active club, contact Sunland residents Darrell Frost, President, Jim Cathcart, Vice-President or Valerie Flannery, Secretary-Treasurer.

During the winter season, the courts are available to players from morning until after dark as the courts are lighted. During the summer, players head to the indoor courts at the Red Mountain Multi-Generational Center on E. Adobe in Mesa, Freestone Rec Center in Gilbert or Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center.
