Coffee with a Cop

Come have a cup of coffee with one of our Mesa Police Officers.  This is an open chat, ask questions and just meet the men and women in blue who protect us and our community.
 
Ice Cream Social
Tuesday, February 19th, 6:30 p.m. at Auditorium
Build your own ice cream sundae (3 scoops and toppings) followed by musical entertainment by the very talented Jeff Gordon.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Tickets $5 advance (no tickets sold at the door).  This event is offered to Sunland residents only.
 
Off Broadway Players Production
Friday, February 22nd at Auditorium
Sunland's drama club, the Off Broadway Players put on their 3rd annual play.  They meet every month at Capri Hall and invite new members.  Check the Sunland Journal for details about this fun group.  All talents are needed: acting, singing, dancing, musicians, sound, lighting, makeup, hair, props, costumes, stage, etc.
 
Karaoke Night
Saturday, February 23rd, 6pm - 9pm at Auditorium
$2 donation at the door.  Hosted by "King Karaoke" Ray Duval who has a large catalog of songs available. Using projection and large screen where everyone can read the words.  Bring your own snacks and beverages.
 
Arts and Crafts Fair
Saturday, March 2nd, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Auditorium*
Put on by the Sunland Arts and Crafts League, this event showcases over 100 vendors with handmade art and crafts, food provided by Sunland Women's Club and music throughout the day.  Special is a "wine tasting" garden supplied by local Arizona winery.  Free to attend.  More information on website: www.sunlandartsandcraftleague.com.  *Location includes inside and outside the Sunland Auditorium, Rooms 3&4, Bandshell grass area and parking lot.
 
Mesa PD Presentation
Wednesday, March 6th, 1 p.m. at Auditorium
Lindy Marino, Mesa PD Community Resource Officer returns to guide those closing up their homes to head back north for the summer.  Learn the do's and especially the don'ts on how to leave your home secure.  You don't want to advertise to the "bad guys/gals" that your home is vacant for months.
 
Let the Good Times Roll Concert
Wednesday, March 6th, 7 p.m. at Auditorium
Featuring the very talented Jimmy Travis along with a live band, take a high-octane musical journal from Memphis to New Orleans.  Jimmy is an award-winning songwriter and comedian  singing the Blues, Country, Rockabilly, Dixieland and Jazz favorites.  Tickets are $18/$15/$12 all seats reserved.  Tickets go on sale November 1.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
 
Reign n Country Dance
Saturday, March 9th, 7-10 p.m. at Auditorium
A special Saturday Night Dance featuring the band Reign n Country.  Tickets are $7 advance/$8 door.  Popcorn and soda available to purchase.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
 
Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, March 9th, 7-9 am at Auditorium
Prepared and served by Sunland Volunteers, this monthly breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee.  Cost at the door is $5 per person.
 
Women's Club Luncheon
Wednesday, March 13th, 12 p.m. at Auditorium
For Women's Club members and their guests.  Meeting, lunch and entertainment included in the yearly club dues.  See a Women's Club Member for more information or read their article in the Sunland Journal.
 
Songster's Spring Concert
Saturday, March 16th at Auditorium
The Songsters annual Spring Concert tickets will be on sale in February 2019.  Saturday evening concert is at 7 p.m. and Sunday's performance at 2 p.m.  Your ticket may be used for either performance day.

Mesa PD Bike Registration
Tuesday, March 19th, 9:30 am at Auditorium Parking Lot
Do you own a bicycle in Sunland Village?  Is it registered with the Mesa Police Department?  If not, then bring it to the front of the Auditorium to have it registered.  That way if it happens to go missing and the police department recovers it, they can locate its owner and return it to you.  
 
Bernie & Red Show
Wednesday, March 20th, 6 p.m. at Auditorium
The humorous and talented couple, Bernie and Red will be returning with an all new show.  Tickets are $15 each which will include dessert, coffee and laughter!  All seats are reserved, please purchase early to get the best seats.  
 
Sock Hop Dance
Friday, March 22nd, 7-10 p.m. at Auditorium
The band Come Back Buddy will be playing popular 50's-60's dance music for our Sock Hop.  Wear your Poodle Skirts, Saddle Shoes, Letterman Sweaters, etc.!  Tickets are $7 advance/$8 door.  Soda and popcorn available.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
