This luncheon event continues to welcome new and returning members.  With a Holiday theme, wear your holiday attire and be prepared for a great social time!  The Sunland Women's Club is a Chartered Club with a mission that all fundraising monies go back to improvements for the community.

Saturday, December 14th, 7-9 am at Auditorium
A delicious breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee prepared by Sunland volunteers!  Only $5 at the door!  Come and socialize over a nice breakfast with us!
 
Ice Cream Social
Monday, December 16th, 6 p.m. at Auditorium
Build your own ice cream sundae (3 scoops and toppings) followed by musical entertainment Bobby and Charlene Freeman.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Tickets $5 advance (no tickets sold at the door).  This event is offered to Sunland residents only.
 
Sunland Blood Drive
Monday, December 16th, 8 - 11:30 am at South Parking Lot
The Vitalant Blood Mobile will be parked near the Delta Ave. driveway of our main complex.  Pre-register at the Sunland Office or on their website: www.vitalant.org click on Sunland Village for appointments.  Give the gift of life!  Thank you!
 
Winter Dance
Friday, December 20th, 6-9 pm at Auditorium
Dance to the Big Band Sounds of Marlin Zimmerman and the All Star Band.  Tickets are $7 advance/$8 at the door.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Learn or refresh basic dance lessons with our Ballroom Dance Instructor, Jana Moore.  Watch for more details in the December Sunland Journal.
 
New Year's Eve Dinner Dance
Tuesday, December 31st, 5:00-10:30 pm at Auditorium
Great Gatsby!  It's the Roaring 20's Again!  Celebrate in style (1920's dress encouraged) and say good bye to 2019 and welcome 2020 with us!  Doors open at 5 p.m. for social time with your friends, bring your own beverages.  Dinner Catered by Ed is served at 6 p.m. buffet style.  Menu will be finalized by the time tickets go on sale.  Music for dancing will be provided by Gordy and Debbie.  We are celebrating New York time (EST) with a live broadcast on the big screen.  Count down at for 10 p.m. (MST) with us!  
 
Dessert Speaker - Storm Chaser
Tuesday, January 7th, 6 p.m. at Auditorium
New to Sunland Village is Greg Ansel, Storm Chaser.  Greg is an Arizona resident who chases storms for a living!  This lively and amazing visual presentation covers tornados, monsoon storms, haboobs and more!  Seats are limited; so purchase your tickets as soon as they go on sale on December 1.  Only $5 which includes dessert and coffee.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dessert served at 6 p.m. and presentation begins at 6:30 p.m.
 
Highland High Starlight Serenade
Friday, January 10th, 7 p.m. at Auditorium
Coming back to Sunland is our very favorite string orchestra from Highland High School.  Director by Bill Bitter, this group of 50-60 talented musicians is something to experience!  Tickets are $8 which includes light dessert and coffee.  Tickets will be limited to seating available (240) so purchase early.  They will go on sale December 1.

Lonny Lynn Orchestra Dance
Sunday, January 19th, 2:00-5:00 pm at Auditorium
Lonny Lynn Orchestra returns in January for another week tour of the Arizona area.  This big band is very popular with dancers and listeners alike.  Tickets are $15 per person.  Don't miss this one!  Even if you just come to socialize, watch the dancers and listen to the excellent sounds of the Lonny Lynn Orchestra!  Doors open at 1 p.m.
 
Tribute to Dolly Parton

The Health & Safety Fair is sponsored by the Sunland Foundation.  Applications for businesses will be available in the fall.  Inquires can be sent through the "Contact Us" page on this website and your information will be forwarded on to the Foundation Planning Committee when they reconvene in October.
 
 
That Kool Band Dance

Mardi Gras Masquerade Party

The Utah Ballroom Dance Company brings the party to us!  Professional dancers will mingle with guests and teach some basic dance moves.  New Orleans style appetizers, punch, King Cake and more!  Attire around the theme is encouraged, wear your masquerade mask and take selfie photos!  Tickets $15 pp
 
Off Broadway Players Night

Sunland's drama group, The Off Broadway Players performs another lively show just for us!  This is a dinner show event, so purchase tickets early because it will sell out!  All seats are reserved.

Arts and Crafts Fair
Saturday, March 7th, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Auditorium*
The Sunland Art League puts on an outstanding Arts and Crafts Fair twice a year.  Come and shop from over 100 vendors who have handmade items.  The Sunland Women's Club opens up their Cafe in the morning with donuts & coffee, homemade pies and a large lunch menu!  Other vendors include Kettle Corn, Ice Cream, fresh breads from local bakery, wine tasting and more.  Music is offered in a couple locations throughout the day!  Location of vendors includes Auditorium, Rooms 3&4, S. Parking Lot and along walkways to grass area near the bandshell.  Free to attend!

Songster's Spring Concert
Saturday, March 21st to Sunday, March 22nd at Auditorium
Sunland Songsters offers two concerts per year, one in December and one in March.  The Saturday performance is at 7 p.m. and the Sunday performance at 2 p.m.  Your ticket is good for either day and time.  Ticket prices will be available in the fall. 
 
Community Wide Garage Sale
Saturday, March 21st, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Auditorium
Over 100 Sunland homes participating.  This event is held twice a year; once in the fall and once in the spring!  This is a free event to participate, just put out your tables and treasures to sell OR check out what your treasures your Sunland neighbors are selling!  Signs will be posted the week of the sale by Sunland Village; however, you are welcome to put out your own Garage Sale sign on your corner on the Friday prior to the Saturday date.  It is also advertised in local free publications and online.

Join us for a pizza and salad buffet provided by LJ's Pizza.  Tickets are $10 which includes beverage and light sweet treat.  Deadline to purchase is noon on Friday, March 27.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Music for the evening provided by Jay Mann.

Jan Sandwich with 2 live musicians perform a fitting tribute to the great Doris Day.  This lovely singer and actor will be remembered with tidbits of Doris's life plus her popular songs.  Tickets are $6 each and includes a root beer float!  Doors open at 6 p.m.
 
Art League Food Truck Event
Saturday, April 18th, 6-9 pm at Auditorium
This is the 3rd annual Spring evening event put on by the Art League.  This event features local Food Trucks, specialized vendors and music.  But most of all, this event is an opportunity for the community to come out and socialize together.  Tables and chairs are set up for eating and gathering.  Take a moment to visit the artisans who bring their unique handmade items to purchase.  Music is always nice too.  Free entrance; just support the vendors.
