Activities
SVCA sponsored activities are defined as those sponsored for the benefit of all Sunland Village residents who have been invited and are entitled to attend. The Activity Coordinator or Committees of the Association schedule these activities. They include, but shall not be limited to, Special Events, Dances, Bingo, Concerts, etc.
Activities and Special Events are listed in the Sunland Journal, on the website, by registering for the weekly email blast here, and posters on community bulletin boards. Tickets are sold at least one month in advance of the scheduled event. Tickets are non-refundable; however, a waiting list will be taken if an event "sells out" and you wish to sell your tickets to someone on the wait list. All food events have a ticket purchase deadline prior to the event date in order to be able to place the food order with the caterer or supplier.
The Special Event Committee meets on the fourth Monday of each month from October through April. It is this committee's goal to coordinate unique events, special dinners and top-notch shows for the residents of Sunland Village. Activities and Special Events are supported by Sunland Village volunteers who assist in collecting tickets, ushering, decorating, preparing and serving food, etc. If you are interested in volunteering for Activities, please fill out the Volunteers Wanted Brochure and return it to the Sunland Office.
